Amy Mathew
registered dietitian
I’m so glad you’re here! I am excited for the opportunity to join you in your journey towards peace with food and your body.
I am a Registered Dietitian who believes food is so much more than nourishment. Food is love, fun, and so deeply intertwined with family, culture, and life. It is my goal to help you get back in touch with these aspects of eating and food. I believe that every body deserves love and respect, and every body deserves to enjoy eating without guilt or shame. Living in a world where diet culture and nutrition myths are so rampant can be difficult for anyone, and I am here to help you navigate through these challenges so you can get back to living your best and happiest life.
My counseling style is gentle and non-judgemental. I use an anti-diet, Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size (HAES) informed approach, which focuses on getting back in touch with and trusting your body’s internal cues as well as respecting and embracing the diversity of all body sizes and shapes. I approach nutrition from a holistic perspective, taking into account an individual’s unique past lived experiences, culture, and values.
I am licensed in the state of Texas with a Masters of Science in Community Nutrition from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I have been a dietitian since 2015 and have extensive experience in outpatient nutrition counseling working with individuals with a variety of medical conditions. I also have experience working at the Eating Recovery Center with individuals receiving treatment for eating disorders at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization (PHP) levels of care.
I enjoy working with adults and older adolescents with disordered eating and food challenges, those with eating disorders and co-occurring chronic medical conditions, and those with a history of chronic dieting.

I cannot wait to walk alongside you as you take these next steps in healing your relationship with food and your body!
